Place

When you first register for GOLDBLOX, you get a Character and your very own Place.

Your basic Place starts out with a house, which you can furnish as you see fit.

When you Visit your place, either in Solo mode or Goldblox Studio, you are given the opportunity at the end to save and upload your work to the Goldblox main server. You can save a copy on your local hard drive, if you so wish.

• It is a good idea to save every 10-15 minutes, as the Goldblox Studio is a little unstable, and may crash. It is also good to save a copy of the finished map on your computer, just in case the upload messes up, or something else happens.

When you Visit someone else's Place, or someone visits your Place, they cannot save the changes that are made. That means you can mess up the Place all you want. Unless the owner saves it, the changes are all reset once everyone leaves the server.

You can edit your Place in solo mode (for small changes, or messing around) or in Goldblox Studio (for serious amounts of building). They both work in mainly the same fashion, but in the Studio you have an independent camera, useful for tight spaces.
